Susan is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) & Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC). She holds certifications through It's Yoga Kids, Yoga for the Special Child, American Council on Exercise & The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I've been exercising in one way or another my whole life. I danced and tumbled as a child, practiced Tae Kwon Do in college, and then built a career around fitness that began in the early 1990's. I love to move, sweat, and indulge in the resulting endorphins. When I found yoga, though, I found something different, something more, something amazing. I found (and continue to find with each practice and each class I teach) more and more of myself. Yoga invites us to listen to our mind, body, and soul. To trust our hearts and follow our intuition. To embrace pure compassion and respect for ourselves and all beings. For me, yoga is so much more than sweat and endorphins. It's a life journey and I cherrish the opportunity to share this journey with others.
Learning about and practicing a healthy lifestyle is a deep, life-long passion of mine. Mainly, what I want is to feel great while being kind to the planet and its inhabitants. Every day I learn more about what this means and how to reach this goal...sharing my experience and knowledge is the icing on the "cake".
Certified as a Health Coach through Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program and from the American Council on Exercise, I'v studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
